Three Rivers Health District participates in state and local emergency trainings as well as conducts emergency training for our professionals.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We support the public health of our communities through an all-hazard approach to preparation, collaboration, education and rapid intervention.\u00a0 Our efforts involve state, regional and local partners working toward common goals to enhance readiness during an infectious disease outbreak such as pandemic flu, COVID-19, a bioterrorism event, a nuclear disaster, or a natural disaster such as a hurricane.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Funding to support these efforts is provided through grants from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, U.S. Health Resources Services Administration and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Contact Information:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Public Health Emergency Preparedness Coordinator\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Phone:\u00a0 804.758.2381\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #000080;\"><strong>Three Rivers Medical Reserve Corps<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Medical Reserve Corps is a national network of locally led units of medical professionals and support volunteers.\u00a0 The Three Rivers Health Medical Reserve Corps began in 2008. Volunteers support the health district in both emergency and non-emergency situations. The MRC collaborates with local hospitals, local county governments, the American Red Cross, and community emergency response teams (CERT) to increase capacity in emergencies.
