{"id":1237,"date":"2022-10-21T18:47:58","date_gmt":"2022-10-21T18:47:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/lord-fairfax\/?page_id=1237"},"modified":"2026-04-01T19:12:26","modified_gmt":"2026-04-01T19:12:26","slug":"epr","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/lord-fairfax\/epr\/","title":{"rendered":"Emergency Preparedness &amp; Response (EP&amp;R)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">The Lord Fairfax Health District (LFHD) Emergency Preparedness and Response (EP&amp;R) Division is responsible for preventing, preparing for, responding to, recovering from, and mitigating public health emergencies.\u00a0 EP&amp;R involves local, regional, and state emergency response partners working together to enhance readiness to respond to any public health emergency.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\"><strong>The LFHD EP&amp;R Division has many responsibilities, including but not limited to:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide medical countermeasures for essential personnel and the public<\/li>\n<li>Provide staff support to local agencies<\/li>\n<li>Support and coordinate resource requests from critical healthcare partners<\/li>\n<li>Participate in drills and exercises to enhance the all-hazards approach to LFHD emergency response<\/li>\n<li>Emergency Support Function #6 \u2013 Mass Care, Emergency Assistance, Housing, &amp; Human Services<\/li>\n<li>Emergency Support Function #8 \u2013 Public Health &amp; Medical Services<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure style=\"width: 478px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/166.67.66.226\/LHD\/LordFairfax\/EPR\/stratnatstockpile.htm\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"color: #333333;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2019\/10\/LSS_PLAN_FOR_EMRGENCY.jpg\" alt=\"This image shows a pregnant woman thinking ahead for emergencies.
