      The Virginia Medication Assistance Program (VA MAP) has changed how uninsured clients access medications under the program.<\/h2>\n

      Uninsured clients will no longer pick up medications at local health departments (LHDs) or other medication pickup sites.\u00a0 As of February 1, 2025, clients will now access medications from retail pharmacies, specifically Walgreens\u00a0pharmacies across the state<\/span>.<\/strong>\u00a0 Ramsell Corporation is assisting Walgreens in managing this new service provision.<\/p>\n

      Clinicians should no longer submit prescriptions for VA MAP uninsured clients to the VDH Division of Pharmacy Services (DPS), Fairfax Health Department Pharmacy, Alexandria Health Department Pharmacy, or Virginia Commonwealth University Ambulatory Care Clinic Pharmacy.<\/p>\n

      New prescriptions written for February 1 and after should be sent via electronic prescription to:<\/strong><\/p>\n
